MSU urges weather caution, MSU-Meridian moves to virtual learning at 1 p.m. Tuesday

STARKVILLE, Miss.—Mississippi State University (all campuses) is urging students, faculty and staff to remain weather aware throughout Tuesday [March 22]. The National Weather service is predicting potential strong straight-line winds, heavy rain and flash flooding.

MSU-Meridian will convert to virtual classes and telework beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday. All on-campus activities at MSU-Meridian are canceled for Tuesday afternoon and evening, with classes and remote work continuing online.

All students, faculty and staff  should monitor weather conditions and exercise caution and good judgment when traveling. Motorists should not drive through unknown patches of standing water and should approach any standing water with caution. For more preparedness information, visit www.emergency.msstate.edu.
