MSU-Meridian Posts 40 Percent Enrollment Increase for Spring 2021
Meridian reported 912 students enrolled on the 10th day of Spring 2021 classes. This represents a 40 percent increase over enrollment in Spring 2020.
Most of the growth is attributed to the new Master of Physician Assistant Studies program and Master of Arts in Teaching program, which provides alternate route educational certification for those already holding undergraduate degrees.
“These numbers reflect dedicated efforts of faculty and staff during the most unusual circumstances,” said Terry Dale Cruse, associate vice president and head of campus. “The pandemic drastically expanded our capabilities in online instruction, which also broadened access for nontraditional students.”
This is the fifth consecutive year of enrollment increases for the campus.
